Paddy was appointed ambassador for the Racing Staff Development Programme in 2023.
Paddy has worked in the horseracing industry since graduating from the British Racing School Foundation Course in 1998; since 1st March 1999 he has been employed by Johnston Racing at their state-of-the-art stables in Middleham, North Yorkshire.
Paddy is a familiar face on racecourses the length and breadth of the country. Over the last two decades he has been instrumental in the early education of countless blue-blooded thoroughbreds and as part of the Johnston Racing travelling team he has lead up a host of Group and Listed winners and taken responsibility for horses at the most prestigious race meetings, including the Epsom Derby, Glorious Goodwood and Royal Ascot.
In 2022 Paddy was crowned Employee of the Year at the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards, now the Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards. Paddy was appointed to the judging panel for the 2023 and 2024 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards.
