Sue joined the Racing Staff Development Programme in the role of Lead Coach Educator in 2019.
In 2014 Sue gained her MSc in Sport Coaching from Leeds Becket University and became Lead Coach Educator for the British Horseracing Authority where she has developed a coaching culture for jockeys and work riders. In 2019 she was awarded UK Coaching Coach Developer of the Year for her services to the racing industry.
Respected for her exploits in the saddle, Sue has competed in British Eventing to Advanced/4* Level. In recent years she has trained and competed at Advanced Medium Dressage and Events her own horse at lower levels.
Sue’s coaching career is all encompassing; she has trained to success Pony Club Championship Teams, delivered Regional Training for British Eventing and guided students to gain their professional BHS assessments.
Sue has experience in racing yards, backing young horses and schooling Jump horses and is an ardent supporter of the thoroughbred horse as an athlete.
